Created for Communion: Day 5

5-Day Bible Reading Plan and Devotional Guide
Created for Communion: Walking with God in Prayer and Presence
Day 5: Walking with Him Daily Reading: Enoch's example in Genesis 5:24; Colossians 4:2

Devotional:
The simplest and most profound eulogy in all of Scripture belongs to Enoch: he walked with God. No record of great sermons preached, battles won, or kingdoms built -- only that he walked with God, and God walked with him. That is the life you were created for. Colossians 4:2 calls you to devote yourself to prayer, to be watchful and thankful. Devotion implies consistency. Watchfulness implies expectation. Thankfulness implies a heart that recognizes what it has already been given. You were not created to merely know about God from a distance. You were created to walk with Him, breath by breath, day by day, in the kind of communion that began in a garden and is made possible again through the cross of Jesus Christ.

Reflection:
What would it mean for your legacy to be simply that you walked with God? What adjustments to your daily rhythm would make that description true of your life right now?

Practical Application:
Write down three specific, realistic commitments you will make this week to pursue daily communion with God. Share them with someone who will hold you accountable. Return to this reading plan in thirty days and honestly evaluate whether your walk with God has grown deeper.
